Helicopter Spirals Out of Control into Palm Trees at Popular California Beach

A chopper soaring above a crowded coastal coastline unexpectedly commenced twirling uncontrollably, finally dropping height and crashing into a line of palm fronds as onlookers looked on.

Recordings posted on the internet capture the helicopter commencing to spiral near the beach then descending near the border of the coast, where it becomes wedged amidst palm groves and a set of stairs near the Pacific Coast highway.

Rescue Operation Details

Emergency responders reported five people were rushed to the hospital including two individuals who were in the chopper and were “rescued from the debris” following the accident on that day.

Three individuals on the street were hurt. Information on their injuries were not immediately available.

The reason for the accident was not immediately released.
